Sydney's All Tomorrow's Parties was a cut down version of the main
show, the two-day event at Mt Buller, a ski resort north of Melbourne.
Having a festival at a ski resort is a fantastically good idea.
For one, it's a bit cooler during an Australian summer, and there
is also the various chalets and apartments as accomodation choices,
rather than a tent in a field. I took the Canonet along, but because
it was quite bright during the day and I was pushing the Tri-X to
800, I didn't actually get that many shots, unfortunately. The band
on stage in this shot is Primitive Calculators playing only their
second show in 29 years. But really, this shot is all about that
crazy tattoo...
